Non-Dedicated General Freight Independent Owner Operators

Responsibilities: The successful candidates will be responsible for:
• Hauling goods and materials long distance in a safe, efficient and professional manner, while following applicable regulations and collective agreement
• Performing circle checks, tie downs and supervising loading and unloading of goods and materials
• Handling customer shipments
• Receiving and relaying information to dispatch in a professional manner under various circumstances
• Communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed with pertinent details recorded
• Providing superior customer service to both internal and external customers
Qualifications: All successful candidates will hold:
• Valid AZ Driver’s License
• Clean Public and CVOR Abstracts
• Strong organizational skills required to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Minimum of one year driving experience
• Truck must be less than 5 years old
• Current Criminal Reference Check
• Cross-border flexibility
• FAST card an asset
As this is a safety sensitive position, all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment reference check and drug and alcohol testing as per company policy.
Compensation: As per Collective Agreement
